MODEXTREME Workshop on Building model components

July 8, 2014 - July 10, 2014
University of Milan, Via Celoria, 2
Milan, 20133 Italy

Workshop on building model components - A technical workshop at University of Milan, Italy About The technical workshop on model implementation in MODEXTREME took place at the University of Milan,  on July 8 (13:30) to July 10 (13:00). This first workshop was reserved to MODEXTREME participants and primarily dealt with the implementation of model components, in which models are implemented at fine granularity. We started from the definition of the domain (in software terms) to the implementation of models, and…

Implementing a modelling solution with components: the conceptual model

January 22, 2015 - January 23, 2015
Rectorado de la UCO, Avenida de Medina Azahara 5
Cordova, 14005 Spain
+ Google Map

Implementing/re-implementing a modelling solution in a component based system - Phase 1, the conceptual model The approach chosen in MODEXTREME is to use several modelling solutions as they are, and adding new models to account for extreme events to such modelling solutions. This can be achieved, avoiding duplication, by implementing modelling solutions at fine granularity in the same platform, in this case BioMA. This training is an ancillary event to the Annual Meeting of MODEXTREME event, which was held on January…

Training on the use of BioMA modelling solutions

January 28, 2015 - January 29, 2015
Rectorado de la UCO, Avenida de Medina Azahara 5
Cordova, 14005 Spain
+ Google Map

An important action of MODEXTREME will be the comparative evaluation of existing modelling solutions against new ones. The new ones will include specific models to account for various abiotic stressors, which should make the modelling solutions more effective in estimating the impact of extreme climatic events. The approach of MODEXTREME consists in using the same software platform and a reimplementation of widely used crop models. This will allow using the same graphical user interface to run existing and new models against…

Sprint on plant model components development

May 4, 2015 @ 08:00 - May 8, 2015 @ 17:00
CRA-CIN, Via di Corticella 133
Bologna,

The approach chosen in MODEXTREME is to use several modelling solutions as they are, and adding new models to account for extreme events to such modelling solutions. This can be achieved, avoiding duplication, by implementing modelling solutions at fine granularity in the same platform, in this case BioMA. The workshop follows the hands-on training on BioMA of 2014 in Milan (see workshop material), and the workshop on the conceptual model for BioMA implementation of 2015 in Cordoba (see workshop material).…
