The MODEXTREME project has received the distinction “Étoiles de l’Europe” (Stars of Europe) at the end of the Horizon 2020 Forum on in Paris. The awarded honorary trophy is a unique earth sculpture whose surface is studded with nascent and mature stars (see below). You can find some more details here (in French).
This distinction, which comes from the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, has been attributed to 12 EU projects, which have been selected out of more than 50 contestants, by an interdisciplinary jury.
The project coordinator, Gianni Bellocchi, who received the award on behalf of the consortium said:
With this award, all of you – partners, stakeholders, members of the advisory board – have been acknowledged for your engagement and the quality of your work, and you can be justifiably proud for this outcome. You can claim this distinction as a performance indicator for your institutions and for personal CVs (my thoughts go above all to young scientists who have been involved in the project).
The presentation of the Stars of Europe ceremony took place on December 4 2017 at the Quai Branly Museum Jacques Chirac, in the 4 th Horizon 2020 Forum.
