INRA Transfert (IT) is a fully-owned INRA (French National Institute in Agronomic Research) subsidiary founded in 2001 to exploit INRA’s research results and innovative technologies, and develop them into concrete business opportunities. IT is a project management consulting company specialized in the field of innovating technologies arising from agriculture-related research.
Through its “European projects” activity, INRA Transfert assists the key players in Research and Innovation in setting up and managing their european research projects and networks. The IT European Projects Department is aimed at increasing INRA’s contribution to the implementation of the European Research Area with the mission to help INRA researchers and partners to setup projects in response to European Commission (EC) calls, and to negotiate and manage them when selected by the EC. Staff of IT Europe department is currently involved in:
• Helping researchers in the conception, construction and writing of relevant proposals within H2020, setting up nearly 15 European projects each year especially in the fields of health, agriculture and environment.
• Managing 22 ongoing European projects from very large scale to smaller ones.
Within MODEXTREME, IT was involved form the very beginning in the setting up of the proposal, the negotiation of the contract with the EC and partners and in the project management and support to the coordination.
Irina Carpusca holds a PhD in Molecular and Cell Biology and a Master in Business Administration (France). She worked as Training Manager for the CEA (French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission) and as Project Manager for the CEA and for INRA Transfert. As such, she participated to the setting-up, negotiation and/or management of several past and ongoing projects (EMIL FP6 large Network of Excellence, AnimalChange FP7 large Collaborative Project, SUSCLEAN FP7 small Collaborative Project, SUSFOOD FP7 Coordination and Support Action, FACCE FP7 Coordination and Support Action, MetaGenoPolis Pre-industrial Demonstrator). Within MODEXTREME, Irina leads Workpackage 7: ‘Project management and consortium coordination’ and thus provides managerial support to the coordinator, to the project’s decision-making and implementing bodies and to the whole consortium.
Ms. Léa Tourneur,project manager, holds a Master degree in Applied Microbiology and a Specialized Master in Innovation Management. She has experience in project management of innovative project and in technology transfer at Institut Pasteur. She is the project manager of the FP7-funded projects SUSCLEAN and ModExtreme.
